The distribution of cash or other assets to shareholders is called a dividend. Dividends reduce retained earnings but they are not an expense.
Definitely, the amount of dividends paid to the shareholders is not determined by a
certain rate but it is a decision of the board of administrators, ratified by the
shareholders in the ordinary general assembly meeting.
