Low Level Animation
[see page 6, Low] level animation has a lot of parameters and can animate an object without knowledge of the causation behind the animation.
Barr's deformation parameters
A [see page 16, form of deformation] where we alter one (or more) parameters subject to the variation of another parameter.
Free Form Deformation
We define a bezier (space/container) patches around an object and then distort the container. This approaches major advantages is that is can work independent of the object representation.
We can use [see page 20, spline-curves] to choreograph the FFD control points.
Skeletal Deformation Control
Have a [see page 21, skeleton] and wrap it in a skin. Move the skeleton and adjust the skin to the movement making the skin deform (stretch or compact).
